Welcome to Consignly

This privacy policy (“Privacy Policy”) applies to Consignly Limited, trading as ‘Consignly’ (“our”, “us” and “we”) and its related entities.

We value your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal and business information. This Privacy Policy does not limit or exclude any of your rights under the Privacy Act 2020 (“Privacy Act”).

Capitalised terms used below but not defined in this Privacy Policy have their meaning defined in the Consignly Terms of Service found here.

When you use our Service, we may collect various types of information, including but not limited to:

-          Personal Data: This includes details like your name, email address, contact information, and any other information you provide us when setting up your account or communicating with us.

-          Business Information: We gather information related to your business activities, such as payment data, Customer Data, transaction data, logistics information, business names and addresses, phone numbers, information about products and other operational data that you or others may input into our Service.

-          Usage Data: We may use various systems to collect information on how you interact with our Service. This information may include dates and times of access, pages viewed, actions taken and other activity related information.

This Privacy Policy should be read in conjunction with our Terms of Service. This Privacy Policy covers how we collect use, disclose and handle your Personal Data and Usage Data (together referred to as “Personal Information”). By using our Services, you are taken to have read and agreed to the collection, use, disclosure and handling of your Personal Information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

-          Communicate with Users invited to your Organisation.

-          Conduct research and analysis, including using in-app analytics to understand how our Services are used and how we can improve them.

-          Personalize your experience and to deliver or market content and product offerings relevant to your interests.

-          Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service and any other agreements with you, including defending any claim.

-          Carry out any purpose authorised by you or permitted by law, including in accordance with the Privacy Act.

We may share your Personal Information with:

-          Users within your Organisation: Other Users in your Organisation where appropriate.

-          Service Providers: Companies and organisations that assist us in operating our Services, such as payment processors and software maintenance providers. This may mean your Personal Information is held and processed outside New Zealand.

-          Legal Requirements: Law enforcement or other government agencies if required by law or in response to a legal process.

-          Business Transfers: An acquiring or merging party, if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your Personal Information may be transferred as part of that process.

-          Related parties: Any of our related entities.

-          Authorised Persons: Any other person authorised by you.

4. Protecting Your Personal Information

We take the security of your Personal Information seriously and use appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect it against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction, however we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your Personal Information.

Because we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your Personal Information, you must always retain your own copy of your Personal Information.

We take all reasonable steps to ensure that the Personal Information we hold is accurate, up to date, complete, relevant and not misleading. You are also responsible for providing accurate, up to date and complete information to us.

-          Subject to certain grounds for refusal set out in the Privacy Act, you have certain rights regarding the Personal Information we hold about you. You can request access to, or correction of, the Personal Information we hold about you.

Updates

We may change or update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting a message on our Service or we may advise you in writing. When we advise you of updates to this Privacy Policy we will be clear on the changes that have been made.
