Emmerson Transport is a logistics company that specialises in line-haul, bulk freight, managed warehousing, and the cartage of refrigerated and meat-industry products. With a rich history spanning over 40 years in the industry, it is arguably one of the largest transport businesses operating out of Hawke's Bay, New Zealand.

Sathya Loganathan, Systems Analyst at Emmerson Transport, has been the driving force behind the implementation of Consignly at the company. Here's a few words from Sathya on the experience.

"It’s been two months since we implemented Consignly at Emmerson Transport and it’s fair to say Consignly has got us excited about warehousing again”.

Putting in place a new WMS and TMS at the same time was always going to be a big undertaking for us but prior to implementing the solution we had been reassured of our choice through the sound technical knowledge, transport-based experience and sheer skills that Consignly’s team held to progress the implementation.

We had set a tight timeframe, so it was important to us that each stage of the implementation was carefully planned out and we had the reactiveness from Consignly to help smooth out any issues as we progressed.

The implementation involved setting up 4 warehouses and we were able to achieve this much faster than we ever expected.

Consignly is an ‘incredible’ product and ‘will make a massive difference in the warehousing area for us’ especially in ensuring we have full visibility of our stock movements and financials.

We are looking forward to exploring more of the functionality offered within Consignly.
